  • Miller and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have had creative differences on the film
  • The Daley/Goldstein script is considered “light-hearted”, while Miller’s take is “darker”
  • Haven’t been able to compromise
  • Script could be in as early as this week (Morrison posted Instagram photo with Miller last September)

  • If Daley/Goldstein’s script is chosen, Miller could be out as Flash

Early box office tracking for Shazam! (3 weeks out) – Deadline

  • $40-45 million domestic opening weekend
  • Character isn’t very well known; Some (limited) nostalgia for 70s TV series
  • Will open against Pet Semetary – mid $20s-30 million opening
  • Same time for Aquaman (Deadline) – $65 million; actual $68-72 million

Release date for Shazam! In China is also April 5 – (Deadline)

  • Most big markets will open April 3-5
  • Japan is April 19

Other nuggets for Shazam!

  • Director David F. Sandberg completed a commentary track, presumably for home media release (Instagram)
  • Early screenings on March 23 are available at select theaters (Fandango)
  • Reddit – According to Sandberg, the voice of the Batman toy in the trailer is “sound designer/supervisor Bill Dean getting to live out his dream of being Batman.”

Director Matt Reeves confirms filming for The Batman is “Looking like sometime around year’s end.” on Twitter

Producer Charles Roven talks Wonder Woman 1984 – Vulture

  • “She (Patty Jenkins) was just determined that this movie should be the next iteration of Wonder Woman but not a sequel. And she’s definitely delivering on that. It’s a completely different time frame and you’ll get a sense of what Diana-slash–Wonder Woman had been doing in the intervening years. But it’s a completely different story that we’re telling. Even though it’ll have a lot of the same emotional things, a lot of humor, a lot of brave action. Tugs at the heart strings as well.”

  • Has had the role since 2013
  • Had greenlight power (recently with WB pictures President/CCO Toby Emmerich) for WB and DC movies
  • Interim team has been set up to fulfil his duties

Eric Wallace will take over as showrunner for The Flash in Season 6 – The Hollywood Reporter

  • Wallace has been a co-executive producer since Season 4 (has also worked on Teen Wolf, Z Nation, and Eureka)
  • Aaron Helbing was sole showrunner for season 5, and was showrunner with brother Todd and Andrew Kreisberg (before he was let go) in Season 4

The Pilot of Batwoman will be set before the events of “Elseworlds” – Deadline

  • EP Greg Berlanti called it an  “origin story that we set up predates the crossover; it’s a story prior to the crossover.”

Esai Morales (NYPD Blue, Caprica, and Ozark) cast in Titans as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke – Deadline

  • “Slade Wilson is known for being DC’s deadliest assassin.
