Director James Wan says no Justice League characters will appear in Aquaman – Entertainment Weekly

  • Post-credits scene?

Warner Bros. has put a Supergirl film into early development – Deadline

  • No director or producers attached; “The studio is a ways away from what likely will be a search to get a female director and this is in nascent stages.”
  • Oren Uziel (Cloverfield Paradox, one of the writers for 22 Jump Street and some unreleased projects) is working on the script

Birds of Prey to go into production in January, The Flash in February 2019 – Above Deadline article

  • Old “Untitled DC Films” dates on schedule – February 14, April 3, June 5, July 24 (2 of these were once attached to Green Lantern Corps and Cyborg)
  • Reminder – Director Matt Reeves also mentioned The Batman movie could go into production spring/summer 2019

Black Mask will be the villain in Birds of Prey – The Wrap

  • Roman Sionis/Black Mask is a crime boss who has been in comics since 1985
  • Black Mask has appeared in animation and the Arkham video game series

Animated Justice League: Throne of Atlantis (2015) movie to be released with a “Commemorative Edition” on November 13, 2018

  • Trailer on YouTube
  • Wonder Woman and Justice League: The New Frontier also had re-releases prior to live action films
  • Will be available on 4k for the first time, as well as blu-ray

Ruby Rose has been cast as Kate Kane/Batwoman for the CW

  • Will appear in December’s Arrow/Supergirl/The Flash crossover and star in Batwoman if ordered to series
  • Rose is known for Orange is the New Black, John Wick (2 and 3), and The Meg
  • According to Deadline, the crossover will not be a backdoor pilot; The CW plans to produce a traditional pilot

Batman will not appear on Batwoman – Entertainment Weekly

  • CW President Mark Pedowitz – “There’s no discussion about a series. Batman already exists in the Arrowverse because last season Oliver Queen mentioned his name at one point. And Batwoman, if the series goes forward, lives in Gotham. There’s no plan at this time to have Batman appear.”

Joivan Wade has been cast as Cyborg in Doom Patrol on DC Universe

  • Wade has been in Big School, Doctor Who, and The First Purge
  • Cyborg will be responsible for bringing the team together, but the size of his role on the show is unclear

Kiana Madeira (Sacred Lies) has been cast in a recurring role in Season 5 of The Flash – (Deadline)

  • Will play Spencer Young/Spin, “a young aspiring social media influencer who seizes the opportunity to make herself famous when she discovers there is a new hero in Central City.”
  • Will be a gender-swapped version of the character, similar to Top
  • Will first appear in episode 4
