Superman & Lois to receive an expanded, 2-hour premiere event – (Deadline)

  • Still debuting Tuesday, February 23
  • Will move up to 8 p.m. (instead of normal 9 p.m. slot) for a 90-minute episode
  • With ads, should be ~63 minutes instead of normal 42 minutes

30-minute Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope special to air at 9:30, following premiere episode

  • The special “will feature sneak peeks and interviews with cast of the new series, as well as special guests discussing the legacy of the Man of Steel.”

Bitsie Tulloch on Twitter says that a new trailer is coming soon

  • “Yes! That wasn’t our trailer! That was something they released in the meantime to get people excited as the trailer is still being cut together – we didn’t officially finish the pilot episode until mid December so it’s still being edited ?”
  • Did they only finish the Pilot before winter break?

The planned Superman & Lois/Batwoman crossover has been cancelled – TV Line

  • Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries – “We’re not really able to cross over because physically, we can’t cross crews due to the fear of exposure to COVID.”

Green Arrow and the Canaries not ordered to series by The CW – (The Hollywood Reporter)

  • 2021 DC shows on The CW – The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Supergirl (both ending), Batwoman and Superman & Lois
  • In development – Painkiller, Wonder Girl, Naomi

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman – background on the series

  • Aired for 4 seasons from 1993-1997, ended on a cliffhanger with abrupt cancellation
  • Starred Dean Cain as Clark Kent/Superman, Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane, and Lane Smith as Perry White
  • Based largely on the post-crisis version of Superman, that debuted in John Byrne’s 1986 Man of Steel mini-series (Kal-El was only surviving Kryptonian, Clark Kent is main identity, Lex Luthor as a powerful businessman)
