Robert Pattinson is in talks to play Batman – Variety
- “While sources say it’s not yet a done deal, Pattinson is the top choice and it’s expected to close shortly.”
- Pattinson is known for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the Twilight saga, and Good Time
- Deadline says he is on a shortlist with Nicholas Hoult (Beast from recent X-Men films)
- The Hollywood Reporter says Pattinson is the frontrunner, and “other names that have been floated alongside Pattinson’s over the last month have been Armie Hammer, Nicholas Hoult and Aaron Taylor-Johnson”
- To begin filming late 2019/early 2020 for June 25, 2021 release date

Peter Jackson apparently turned down the chance to direct Aquaman – Empire
- Quote from article – “Jackson revealed that he was offered the chance to direct Aquaman twice by former Warner Bros CEO Kevin Tsujihara – but turned it down both times. “He said, ‘Are you a fan of Aquaman?’ I said, ‘No.’ Six months later: ‘Peter, are you a fan of Aquaman?’ I said, ’No, Kevin, I already told you this’,” Jackson recalls. “I’m not a superhero guy. I read Tintin… Look, films are hard. I only want to make something that I have a deep passion for.”
